EPW - Eardley Norton, London, fusee quarter-hour repeater, 54mm, 18K gold OF original case with beautiful deep engraving detail to bezel, band, rear perimeter, pendant top, and bow, signed gilt spring-loaded cuvette, multicolor gold dial with floral detail at perimeter, KWKS (a key is included as pictured), likely a verge escapement but not removed from case to confirm, gilt mvt with ornate pierced and foliate scrolled balance cock with grotesque mask at its neck, s#2986 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 82.7 dwt (128.6 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good repeat function and tone, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, signature plate with some fine scratches, surface nicks, and mild haze; excellent dial with some mild contact marks; excellent hands, hour with some small bits of oxide to its spade; case shows hardly any wear, no dents or dings, excellent engine turning and engraving detail, cuvette with some fine scratches from past key slips and with a directional arrow in ink marked around its winding aperture; tight bow; domed glass crystal with some mild fine scratches.
